Hudson NY Senior Photographer | Ashley's Trash the Prom Dress shoot Part 2
When I see all of my past, current, and future portrait clients' prom pictures on social media, my senior photographer's heart sings!! I love it all--the perfect hair, the pretty flowers, the gorgeous makeup, the fancy dresses, and their glowing smiles. I just want to take each girl aside for an individual photo session!
Have you heard of the popular 'Trash the Dress' photography genre, where brides wear their dresses for unique photo shoots sometime after their actual wedding days? During these sessions the brides sometimes lay down on the ground, climb on boulders, or wade in streams--basically anything that they wouldn't necessarily do on their wedding days for fear of messing up their hair, makeup, or dresses. I really wanted to try this type of session...but with prom dresses!
That's why I'm offering my own Trash the Dress mini sessions this June and July. Of course I'm looking forward to creating gorgeous prom dress photos for high school juniors and seniors, but these minis will also be open to girls and women of all ages in any formal attire. And don't worry--we won't actually trash any dresses, unless requested that is--we'll just take unique, memorable portraits in them.
