I’m Jennifer, and this is where I come from:

 

• I grew up in Ulster and Greene counties. I’ve had some amazing opportunities to explore the world, but I still get chills watching the gorgeous progression of seasons right here at home.

 

• I taught English for over 7 years. During that time, I had students in every possible age group, so I learned a lot of tricks to keep kids (and adults) focused and smiling!

 

• My husband is from Japan, where I lived for about 9 years. Our two daughters are my muses. Watching them grow and learn is the most amazing gift. 

 

• I identify with the Japanese idea of wabi-sabi, the aesthetic of finding beauty in imperfection. I love spaces that have been overgrown with moss or made more rustic by time and weather. 

 

• Like many, I’ve struggled with my weight and self-image at times. There is so much beauty in each stage of our lives, though, so we need to look beyond the numbers on the scale or whatever is holding us back and just get in the photos already!
