Hudson Valley Photographer | Kelsie's vintage travel session
Last year when I was coming up with themes for senior Mod Squad concept sessions, vintage travel was on the list. I even brainstormed with Kelsie, my awesome hair and makeup artist slash gorgeous sister. We never ended up using the theme but then a couple months ago, Kelsie said she wanted to do it herself! We had to reschedule a couple of times due to weather and colds, but we finally got together on Sunday to complete our vision. Unfortunately it was only 22 degrees and I'm guessing the windchill was even lower, so we only spent about 20 minutes shooting. I was really worried that between cutting the shoot short and me still getting accustomed to my new camera, that we didn't get the images I had been hoping for. Happily, I couldn't have been more mistaken!
Of course, Kelsie perfectly pulled off the fashion, hair and makeup look we were going for--a modern take on an era gone by. I had an antique suitcase I'd bought a few years ago sitting around the house just waiting to be used as a prop. And then our sister-in-law let us borrow this gorgeous hat which pulled it all together!
And finally, here's one image that's different from my usual style but I just couldn't resist.
