Hudson Valley Senior Photographer | Cassandra's Magical Wethersfield Session
In honor of Throwback Thursday (and the fact that I'm so behind in blogging), today I'm featuring this shoot from July 2015. Cassandra was a student at Webutuck High School and has since gone on to study at Bard College. She is an exceptionally talented singer, having performed in genres from operatic to musical theater to everything in between. In fact, my daughter and I went to see her perform in Beauty and the Beast at the Warner Theater in November!
Cassandra's grandfather works at Millbrook's beautiful Wethersfield, so we had private access to it for her senior portraits. Everything about the estate is magical--the structures and statues, the layout of the grounds, the lush greenery and flowers everywhere--I was in love! And we picked a perfect summer evening for our shoot with glowy golden light and even a surprise appearance from the moon in a few of her images. Pure magic, I tell you!
I just couldn't get enough of Wethersfield and I hope to be headed back there sometime this year. In those last two images the scenery doesn't even look real, but aside from a couple of simple adjustments, they were barely touched in Photoshop. Even two years later I can't stop looking at them! After this session, I was not only in love with the location, but also senior photography in general. And I haven't looked back since! Thank you for this magical experience, Cassandra!
