Hudson Valley senior photographer | Kaya's Glitter Warrior Concept Session
For those of us in the Hudson Valley, or anywhere in New York, or anywhere in the Northeast for that matter, today is the perfect day for this blog post. It started snowing overnight and hasn't slowed down at all! What better time to look at these wintry, glittery images of JenniWaka Mod Squad Member Kaya in the snow?
My concept for this shoot was to somehow marry a sparkly glam look and an ethereal warrior feel. Makeup artist Kelsie Wessel totally captured what I was going for and the gemstones she used even matched Kaya's gorgeous hair. That plus a not-too-cold winter day with dramatic skies made for an awesome shoot!
And of course what sparkly photo shoot could be complete without actual glitter?
On Instagram, someone commented that Kaya looked like she belongs on Game of Thrones. I'm probably the only person who has yet to watch it, but fierce is certainly the look we were going for!
I'll miss having Kaya as part of the JenniWaka Mod Squad when she graduates from Taconic Hills High School this year, but I'm looking forward to the new group of ladies who are joining this week. And I love that one of them is Kaya's cousin!
